I had a great stay at riptide hostel. The common area was cozy and the rooms were clean. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe the whole stay. We did a surf lesson both days I was there - the break we went to was stunning and so perfect for learning on. Joe is a great instructor and host. Will definitely come back next time I’m in San Jose!

We had an amazing time in this hostel with my friend. It feels like home. The beds are very confortable and clean. The shower is also very nice. But most importantly the vibe in the hostel is very chill. Also you can learn how to surf or just keep on learning by taking classes with Jo ( one of the owner) which is a very good instructor. It was one of the best moment of our trip. I highly recommend this hostel

I had such an amazing time staying here. The property has great vibes and is in a great location, just a few blocks from the downtown gallery district. Joe is so cool and friendly. He has significant surfing knowledge and was a great teacher. I hope to return very soon!!
