Oryx Hostel Tulum

Spent one night here. It’s a VERY short walk from the ADO bus station, it’s very clean and th staff are great. Would stay here again for sure. It’s noisy. But i slept fine with ear plugs

If you can take one thing away from my review stay somewhere else. Off rip they tried to charge 540 pesos for a 340 peso stay after I’d already paid 100 pesos in race so a nice little 300 peso up charge. Rooms smelled like yogurt and had trash everywhere. Free breakfast might as well be slop didn’t even bother touching it. Pool is horrible. I am a budget backpacker but there is no amount of budgeting that makes this place worth it. Scammy, smelly, weird vibes, the only upside is the location.

I stayed at 3 hostels in Tulum and Oryx was the best by far. Oryx is very well run and clean. If you need something the staff are very helpful. Whatever you decide never go to Luhme Hostal. It's a flophouse above a very noisy bar with no WIFI in the dingy rooms. I highly recommend Oryx Hostel.
