Sunset Hostel

Amazing place to stay! Excellent location within walking distance of water-based tours, eating, shopping, coffee, etc. Run by a very kind and helpful family.

Not a bad hostel but some point that you should know : 1. The bed lights are very bright, so when they're turned off, it wakes up the entire room. 2. The hostel owner mistreats employees/volunteers. We booked a tour on our own, and he filmed us at the dock with our friends - unacceptable and unsafe. 3. The cleaning staff always leaves the door open, and our room was near the kitchen - unsecured

We did not have high expectations, but we still got a little disappointed. The beds were horrible, and when the bunk over you, or under turned on the small reading light the whole room lit up. The shower looked like something from a Mexican prison. The worst part was the kitchen situation. It got locked up at 10 pm to 8 am. Which isn’t a problem normally, but they locked up the cups and the water and the frigde. With like a key. We had to leave early, but we couldn’t get to our food…
