Haka House Wanaka

I recently stayed at the hostel in Wanaka and had a fantastic experience. Its central location made it easy to explore the town and nearby attractions. The accommodations were clean, cozy, and well-maintained, offering a comfortable stay. The common areas were vibrant and inviting, perfect for meeting fellow travelers. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing great recommendations for local activities. Overall, the Wanaka hostel is an excellent choice for budget-conscious travelers.

mostly really good, great location, nice people, only issue was the shower in my room was a bit inconsistent but it was nice to have a toilet just for our room

I stayed here nine years ago and I love what they have done to place. One late afternoon the fire alarm went off, I was chilling outside and it seemed really unorganized and no worker was on site. One guy seemed to then proceeded to tell the workers what to do. As a Kiwi myself I went in and had to tell people that it’s a fire alarm leave the building. There was no explanation- I recommended having no smoking/vaping signs around as some countries it’s okay to do so inside
