I had a reservation and and due to unforeseen travel restrictions I had to arrive a day late. I had a 5 day reservation and I sent multiple emails leaving up to my stay explaining my situation. I did not receive any response even now days after my booking. I arrive at night and the place was deserted, no staff or guests. I had to leave and make other arrangements. I get the impression that they aren’t fully operational but to leave availability for booking but no corespondents is unprofessional.

I wouldn't recommend this hostel to anyone! On our first evening, someone told us that $600 had been stolen from their backpack. So we locked all our valuables in the lockers with our own lock. We were also the only ones in our room and always locked the door. On the second evening, we discovered that someone had been in our room, broken the locks, and stolen $200. We didn't want to stay any longer and the volunteers were very keen to pay us for the remaining nights, but the owner wasn't helpful

Super hostel I loved my stay here so much! The location is close to the bus stop which can will take you to Manuel Antonio and Quepos. The beds are very comfy, real blankets, great aircon, good showers! Also the free breakfast in the morning is great and it’s the first time I’ve seen a hostel give free laundry. The owner is also so helpful and friendly, you can tell he really cares about his guests and would always check on how I was doing and give recommendations. Would return!
