Not sure if the room had been cleaned as there was something still there from a previous customer. Instructions were clear about room number but outside doors were always open. WD40 could be used to prevent squeaky room doors. Lovely cosy bed Never saw anyone

As others have said, it does what's expected: a cheap(ish) place to stay with the basics required. It's a pain for backpackers to have to bring towels but luckily we guessed this in advance. The hostel proudly asserts its 'no frills. fair price' philosophy – though this at times felt like an excuse for not bothering to maintain it very well: our room and that of another guest had a lock which didn't work very well, and in ours not one of the 4 bedside lights worked.
