BAU Tulum

The hostel is clean and comfortable, adequate aircon in a hot and humid Tulum is a plus. The pool is big and clean which is rare as a hostel. Staff is very nice and they provide a typical Mexican breakfast, it has different choices every morning is another plus. However, they don't have a well-equipped kitchen but only a microwave, and there're two big cockroach in the toilet every night (in the same position!) is so disgusting.

Absolutely awful. The dorms have BED BUGS. I checked three beds and all had bed bugs. The receptionist pretended he didn't understand when I explained about the bed bugs, even though I had photos. The female dorm is completely open like the rest of the dorms. The showers are disgustingly dirty and stink of damp. The toilets are out of the way with doors that are not completely sealed. The male night receptionist tried to nap in the female dorms, so weird. I wish I could give this hostel 0/10.

All the dorms are in one big without doors to eachother so expect a lot of noice. Also only four toilets for everyone staying.
