We are located in the heart of Zaandam and only 9km outside Amsterdam.

UNIQUE PODS
Our unique and exclusive pods (Including Female only dorms) are fully ventilated and have been carefully designed with your comfort and privacy in mind. So cliché right, but we understand what you need. Somewhere to charge your devices at night, a reading light to keep track of your traveller blog, hooks and a shelf, and free-to-use lockers for your personal belongings.
There is also a free to use kitchen with modern facilities, a lounge / dining area and bar open until 23:00. The comfy lounge area provides the perfect place to relax, play games and meet like minded travellers.

Looking for day trips, events, or local recommendations? Our Butler service is here to help! Whether you want to rent a bike to explore the scenic surroundings or embark on a sailing adventure along the Zaanse Schans, we have everything you need. Enjoy access to discounted tickets for both local and distant events to enrich your experience.
Join us for regular social activities, including game nights, bar crawls, and themed cooking evenings. Don't miss the Billiards bar above our hostel, where you can enjoy a friendly game with friends. Come and experience the fun with us!
ZAANDAM AND THE SURROUNDINGS;
We are located in the heart of Zaandam (10 minutes walking from the train station) and only 9km outside Amsterdam. Zaandam is a vibrant city home to windmills, colourful houses, and a wealth of museums. Zaandam with its great transport links is located only 20 minutes outside Amsterdam meaning, our hostel provides the perfect base for your travels.
- Schiphol airport - 30 minutes by public transport or 25 minutes driving
- Amsterdam - 20 minutes (public transport)
- Zaanse Schans - 20 minutes by public transport
- Haarlem- 35 minutes driving or by public transport
- Alkmaar - 30 minutes by public transport
City Trip Hostels - Terms & Conditions
- Reception is open from 07:00 - 23:00.
- Check-in from 15:00 until 23:00. Please contact us in advance if you will be arriving after 23:00.
- Check-out is until 11:00. Lazy check-outs are available. Please contact us to arrange a late check-out.
- Towels are not included in the price. You can rent a towel at a small fee (€4 if booked in advance and €5 at the desk)
Please make sure to read the hostel's Terms & Conditions before booking. Special conditions apply for group bookings (10 guests or more) please contact the hostel directly.
Our Flexible Rate gives you the opportunity to cancel or amend your reservation 72 hours prior to arrival. After this time, cancellation and modifications to your reservation will result in 100% charge of the accommodation amount. In case of a no-show the total price of the reservation will be charged. Please Note: A 20% pre-authorization will be made on the credit card at the time of booking.
For any Non-Refundable reservations, full payment will be taken at the time of booking and in case of cancellations or modifications, no refunds will be given.
Please Note: a 5,63 EUR per person per night City Tax will be charged upon arrival to the hostel.

We do not accept guests younger than 18 years of age.
