La Cigarra Casa de Huespedes

We made reservations 5 months ago using Hostel World. When I called the place 3 days prior arrival they assured me that they would NOT honor my reservation and that we should try 4 coming days later. They also told me that Hostel World sent them the reservation only a week earlier. Not sure what was the case, but I had to look for an emergency accommodation at a huge price because of this problem. BTW, absolutely nothing back from Hostel World, they still have my money.

When dawn breaks,the roosters’ songknocks gently on my window.The buzzing of the nightflows into the crowing of the morning,and together they become my day. Just in case, I slept fully dressed,yet by morning I foundseven bites on my neck,three on my face,and five on my hands—badges of honor, perhaps.After searching online,it seems they may not be from mosquitoesbut from fleas or bedbugs.Still, even this becomespart of my travel memories.

This hostel is a hidden gem if youre looking for a personal hostel experience. The view from the dorm was incredible and the owners were really kind. We highly recommend this hostel
