Welcome to the Hostel on the Hill. The perfect place for surfers, hikers, nature lovers, bikers, and everyone who likes to enjoy the beauty of the South-West Algarve with its impressive beaches that are just around the corner.
The Hostel is located in the traditional Portuguese village 'Hortas do Tabual' right in the Natural Park of the Costa Vicentina.
The famous hiking trail 'Rota Vicentina' passes 2km from the hostel at Praia do Zavial and 4km at Vila do Bispo. The 'Via Algarviana passes right in front of the door from the hostel.
Within 30 minutes of driving, there are around 25 different beaches/surf spots on either the west or South coast. When you come here to surf a rental car is highly recommended to make sure you can get to the best surf spot of the day.
We can set you up with several activities like surf lessons/ courses, SUP tours, Kayak tours, surf guiding, and E-bike rentals/ tours.
Guests can of course use the hostel kitchen to prepare their meals.
Pets are allowed in our private rooms.
Hostel On The Hill Policy and Conditions:
Cancellation policy: 5 days before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or no-show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
Check-in from 14:00 to 21.00.
Check out from 00:00 to 11:30.
Payment upon arrival by cash.
Taxes included.
Breakfast not included - From 09.00 to 11.00 from a small menu with prices from 4 Euro to 6 Euro.

No curfew.
