Mirador Del Parque Tayrona Hostel

This place is a scam. They charged me a higher price than was on my confirmed booking. They said it was because hostelworld is an 'economy site'??? I paid because I had already paid to enter the national park and didn't have other options. Also, page indicated that my room had a private bathroom, and breakfast was free. Both lies. The door to my bedroom didn't shut, and I had to jam a small stick in to shut my door. Don't stay here. Hostelworld should not allow this page to stay online.

Good place to base yourself, just inside Tayrona park. you can get the bus from just outside up to the start of the trail for 5000 COP. The owner was friendly and very patient - I only speak a little Spanish. The facilities are very basic. The food is nice though. Note that the rooms aren't private - we stayed in a building that had been separated into 4 rooms, but the partition wall doesn't go to the roof, so you can hear everything from the rooms either side.
