We’re a hostel nestled in Borobudur, Magelang, right in front of rice fields. Wake up to green views and good vibes.
At Social Ducks Hostel Borobudur, it's not just about providing a place to sleep, it’s about creating a welcoming space where travelers can connect, relax, and feel at home. We’ve chosen to keep things small and intimate, with only 8 beds in our dormitory and one private room, allowing for a personal, friendly atmosphere where guests are more than just faces in a crowd.
With fewer guests at a time, it’s easy to meet new people, share stories, and enjoy meaningful conversations. Whether it’s over breakfast, exploring the area together, or unwinding in the common space, our hostel fosters a relaxed vibe where connections happen naturally.
We also believe in conscious and responsible tourism. By keeping our hostel small, we can minimize waste, be mindful of our energy and water use, and support local businesses. We also source local products to create an authentic experience for our guests while practicing conscious travelling and community based tourism. We collaborate with local businesses to ensure that travel benefits everyone : locals, visitors, community and small enterprises.
Through sustainability, fair wages, and inclusive practices, we aim to show that tourism can support, not disrupt, the local way of life.

8 Beds Mixed Dorms with Air Conditioner, personal power plug, and personal sleeping lights.
A Private Room (2 beds (Bunk)) with Air Conditioner, personal power plug, and personal sleeping lights.

Shared bathroom (with hot showers).
Scooters are available for rent.
Free bikes to use.
Breakfast (Toast & Jam).

Upon every check-in, your bed is made up with freshly laundered sheets and linen, because we believe every guest deserves a clean, welcoming start.

Valid passport for Foreigners, and KTP for Indonesians
