Arrived soaked after an unexpected downpour caught me without an umbrella, and staff handed over a towel before I'd even said my name. Room smelled faintly of fresh laundry, sheets clearly line-dried given the crispness. Rain continued on and off for most of the stay, made the courtyard smell pleasantly of wet concrete each morning. Bathroom had strong water pressure despite being shared among several rooms. Signed up for Bromo last minute and staff had it confirmed within the hour, no hassle at all.

Arrived to find staff mid-repair on a wobbly gate hinge, apologized for the noise but it was fixed within the hour regardless. Building had decent natural light throughout the common area, made working on a laptop there far more pleasant than most budget places manage. Heat climbed steadily through the day, peaked hard around two before easing off. Bathroom had surprisingly good water pressure for a shared setup. Skipped Bromo due to cloud cover warnings, staff said the view wouldn't have been worth the ear
