Cats Hostel San Sebastian

The hostel was very clean and the staff were helpful. It’s in a good area and close to bus stops & shops. However, the beds don’t have curtains so there is no privacy and the bathroom placement is very weird, it’s right near the entrance so it’s very easy to be walked in on. In a mixed dorm, you have to get changed IN the shower. The kitchen also had very little appliances (only microwave, kettle, few plates/cutlery).

Overall good experience for my short stay. Secure, friendly and helpful staff, and the bathroom was cleaner than many hostels I’ve stayed in. My bed was the loudest bed I’ve slept in, even the slightest movement sent loud sounds throughout our room and so I felt trapped while trying not to disturb others. Our AC was also blowing out weak warm air so the room was sticky. Someone had to go down at 3 AM to have it be turned to cool. The bed was not the most functional for getting down in the dark.

Lovely hostel and lovely staff! Only wish is that there were curtains on bunks. Otherwise, it was a lovely and memorable experience!
