The dorms did not match the photos advertised. Dorms do not have any privacy curtains even though they are advertised, and the “6-bed female dorm” was actually a single bunk bed behind one large curtain in the communal kitchen, not a separate female-only dorm with privacy-curtained beds as shown in the listing.
The owners were kind and the hostel was clean, but as a solo female traveler this was very uncomfortable. After arriving and messaging the owner, I was offered a bed in the male dorm because no one else was staying there, which I appreciated, but it was nothing like the advertised female dorm I had booked. Although no one else slept in the dorm with me, another guest’s belongings were there, and the male guest staying in the private room regularly came into the dorm to use the bathroom, as his room did not have one. This was very different from the female-only accommodation I had expected and I was uncomfortable and unable to relax.
On another night, I was asked to sleep in the bed in the kitchen. I ended up leaving during the night because I felt so uncomfortable trying to sleep while men were using the kitchen, separated only by a curtain. As a solo female traveler, I found this frightening and did not feel I had the privacy or security I had booked.
The photos of the dorm beds also appear to be AI-generated, which explains why the actual accommodation looked so different. I left that final night without paying because I no longer felt comfortable staying there. Given that the accommodation was not as advertised and the experience left me feeling genuinely unsafe, I believe a refund for the other two nights would be fair. I don’t mean to spread negativity with bad reviews, I just hope the listing is updated to accurately reflect the accommodation so future guests, especially solo female traveller’s, know what to expect.
