In a great location in the middle of Calgary, but it is under heavy renovation and it's a mess. Paint fumes and construction smell throughout. They claimed the downstairs bathrooms just broke so we had to go through a maze of doors and hallways to go upstairs to use the other bathrooms. The showers have no hooks, tables, chairs, etc, so your clothes are on the floor while you shower. The rooms have no windows or AC and you can hear toilets flush through visible pipes above. No towels to use.

When the hostel is finished being built it has the potential to be awesome! Unfortunately (no fault of the owners it seems) it’s not finished and lacking the hotel basics (eg. Power plugs in the rooms, being clean etc). Charging full price in this condition is cheeky, but grateful I had a bed for a night

Overall good hostel - only issue was we came opening day. The owners explained there was a system error that prolonged check-in and contractor related issues which delayed the completion of hostels finishes. Staff was friendly during a difficult time and remained helpful to the extent possible. I would recommend staying here and giving it another shot once fully opened.
