I tried a few hostels in 4 weeks at arugam bay and this is by far the best hostel, the hosts are welcoming, the rooms are very clean and well kept and I made many lasting friends during my stay here

Hostel owner is really friendly and helpful. He helped us change rooms on the second night so that our group could all be together, and anything you need he will help you straightaway. Communal space is great and very sociable, easy to meet people and nice to sit and chill together in the evenings. The beds are big and comfy, good size dorms. Only tiny points to improve - no locks on the dorms, bathrooms never quite feel clean (they really try though) and fridge needs a clean. Enjoyed the place!
