Escobar Hostel Koh Tao

PHOTOS ARE AI. And the hostel is not finished and is fully under construction-so be aware of this. The room itself is nice but not worth the value considering the property is 1/4 finished. We got part of our payment back for 3 nights as it’s not fair to lie about a property under construction. Will be nice in 6 months but don’t stay here now. The social aspect is 0, and it’s far from nightlife. If u want to be alone and not socialize this is the place for you.

The entire hostel is still under construction. I did not realise all of the pictures are AI (the hostel looks nothing like this). It’s pretty much a construction site, which at times felt very sketchy walking through. There’s no “vibes” and all of the reviews seem to be left by staff. I could not be at the hostel during the day as it was too noisy (construction started at 8am-sunset). The staff were super lovely and I think in 3-4 months this will be an amazing stay! Location is 10/10.

Escobar Hostel is easily one of the best finds on Koh Tao! Even though it's still under construction, you can already tell it's going to be the absolute top hostel on the island once it's fully finished. The highlight has to be its private beach—having direct access to the water makes the vibe unmatched. On top of that, the staff is incredibly sweet and helpful, and the crowd staying here is super friendly and easy to connect with. Couldn't have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend getting
