Antica Foresteria di Tòsina is a welcoming 14th-century hostel, part of a Camaldolese monastic complex founded in 1030, next to the Church of Santa Margherita di Antiochia, in the green heart of Pelago, about an hour from Florence.

It's an ideal stop for anyone walking the Way of St Francis (the Pontassieve–Consuma stage, right where accommodation is scarce) or the ancient Via dei Monasteri on foot: our Pilgrims' Castle Room, with bunk beds arranged into a little 'castle', sleeps up to 9 travellers, with an en-suite bathroom and a garden view.

Guests have access to a spacious lounge with a small kitchenette, where you can heat up food and take your time over breakfast, the guesthouse garden, and fast wifi throughout the property.

Around the property stretch the ancient forests of Vallombrosa Abbey, the panoramic Secchieta ridge and the Passo della Consuma, a land of historic trails, quiet and nature, a stone's throw from the Chianti Rufina hills and Florence.

Cancellation policy: 4 days before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.

Check in from 15:00 to 23:00 .
Check out before 11:00 .

Payment upon arrival by cash, credit & debit cards.
This property may pre-authorize your card before arrival.

ID document and city tax
A valid ID document is required from all guests upon arrival. A city tax of €1 per person per night applies, payable locally; children under 12 are exempt.

Breakfast
Self-service breakfast included in the stay, with sweet items.

Cleaning
No daily cleaning service is provided. Stays of 7 nights or more include a mid-stay cleaning. Final cleaning is always included in the price.

Quiet hours
Please keep quiet from 13:00 to 15:00 and from 23:00 to 08:00 the following morning, out of respect for all guests.

Smoking
Smoking is strictly forbidden inside the building.

Pets
Small pets are welcome with advance notice to the property; they are not allowed on the furniture and must be kept on a leash in common areas.

Fireplace
Lighting the fireplace is not allowed at night or when the rooms are unattended.

Liability
The management is not liable for personal belongings left unattended, nor for any interruption of utilities (water, electricity, wifi) due to force majeure.
