Yufuin Country Road Youth Hostel

Such a beautiful hostel in the countryside of Yufuin. Delicious home-cooked food for dinner and breakfast with extra rice and unlimited tea and coffee. Lots of manga to read. Onsen inside the facility (felt luxurious!). Youth hostel but I also met some elders staying there, which I really enjoyed. The female-only dorm had also a private living room with tatami. The staff was so lovely, they sung us a song to say goodbye and took us back to the station with their van for free.

Loved this cute, reclusive traditional homestay a little away from the town centre! You get a great view of the entire village because this place is higher up in the mountains. The couple running the homestay are extremely hospitable and lovely! They also serenade you when you leave, they're so cute! Would definitely come back.

The best hostel I have ever stayed in! The hosts have made every effort to make the hostel look and feel beautiful! And so many comforts! A lovely onsen located in the hostel, the bunks are comfortable with your own private locker and shelf, the views from the hostel are excellent and the living area is so cosy! I couldn't recommend it enough!
