The other tenants were super chill, and a wide range of ages, and the owner/manager was extremely helpful and friendly.

I’ve never reviewed a hostel but had a terrible experience with the man working here. We arrived on bikes at 2pm, and I asked the lady working if I could shower while waiting for 3pm check in. She said yes and told me shower is on the third floor. There was no uncertainty that she understood my question and gave me permission. This man came in and was flustered and crazy. He yelled at me about rules and later yelled at the cleaning lady. He clearly has issues but can’t treat people this way.

Very good, no nonsense guesthouse. Check-in was fast and easy. Room and bathroom were clean. Not too far from downtown. Very close to Sakurajima ferry terminal.
