We overall enjoyed our stay. Initially thought it was really quiet and a lack of social activities for such a gorgeous hostel that’s quite remote. They did do karaoke one night which was really fun but they could take advantage of having a pool and a big bar area. However it does have a homely feel with a few long term residents. Would be nice to have a water filter. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Just to be aware you’ll need to pay for taxis everywhere if you don’t rent a moped.

Loved our time at Shiralea Backpackers! The staff are wonderful, the food is great, and the atmosphere is such a cool vibe. Tons of great coffee shops near the hostel as well that we visited every morning. A bonus was all the dogs who hung out with us around the property! Loved our time here.
