A homeless shelter, not a hostel Genuinely this is the worst hostel I've ever been to; this is a list of things that I saw or that happened in the 2 days I spent in Absynt: • on arrival, I immediately had a group of men violently threaten me in the common area. • one young man in my room showed me his stab wounds from being attacked outside of the hostel. • the door to my room was ripped off by a drunk resident • I woke up to a stranger in bed with me and had to move to a new bed.

This hostel is unlucky because it is in a great location (during the day) and the facilities are OK but what really brings it down is the crowd that comes. During the day the hostel is right in the city center and close to everything. At night the music from the clubs makes it very noisy in the rooms and hard to sleep. People staying in the hostel are shady and one even peed on the floor in the stairwell cause he couldn't find the bathroom... only went here cause I came on a whim.

Fair value hostel in decent location with friendly staff. A few short comings though, no curtains on dorm beds, no lockers and bath rooms smelt bad. There were few international guests staying.
