With easy public transport routes, you can go in and out of Amsterdam center with ease as well as visit other amazing destinations the Netherlands has to offer. The city of Noordwijk is centrally located in the Netherlands so if you are ready to explore incredible places like Den Haag, Leiden, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht and more, The Flying Pig Beach Hostel will be the right spot for you.

The main area in the Beach hostel is 'the Bar', this is where it all happens. The inviting atmosphere created by our enthusiastic staff is ideal to make new friends. You're always welcome to join in with our fun and games and with the music we play, everything but mainstream, parties are unavoidable.
We have a fully equipped kitchen for use by guests and a fully stocked bar to enjoy during your stay. Our board game collection, pool table and significant book collection will keep you busy on rainy days!

The Beach Hostel is also the place to come to if you like the following-..

Surfing, kite boarding, body boarding, skate boarding, horse riding, mountain biking and normal biking, 13km golden sand beaches, swimming, beach volleyball, crazy parties, BBq's, dunes, woodlands and flower fields, Sunsets, sand between your toes, skinny dipping, free internet and cheap beer.

HOUSE RULES
We have a pretty laid-back atmosphere at the Flying Pig Hostels with smoking areas and shared dormitories. If you're young at heart, you are bound to enjoy what we offer. However, to maintain our chilled atmosphere we do not allow:
. Anyone under 18 years of age.
. People looking for local work opportunities.
. Stag parties / Hen parties
. Groups of Soccer fans in the city for international or national matches
. Pets

Please be aware! If you are aged 40 or above, you must book a private room.

A booking for 8 or more persons is considered a group booking and cannot be booked through our third-party agents. This must be done via email, to request a group booking form, please email us.

Read the above carefully! In the event of a false booking, there will be no check in nor will there be a refund!

We make every effort to accommodate you in the dormitory size of your choice. However, because of the nature of our business, we may have to place you in a different sized dormitory. As a result the balance to be paid upon arrival can be slightly different than what is stated on your confirmation.

All nights of accommodation must be paid for on arrival.
Our staff always do their best to keep every group together in the same room. Most of the time this works out, but keep in mind that we are a very busy hostel, so we can never guarantee anything.

Reservations in general:

Reservations can only be made with a MasterCard or Visa credit card. Maximum stay is 7 days. Upon arrival you can pay with your credit card/bankcard or cash.

Any booking due to be paid on arrival with an outstanding balance of more than €200 will be authorised before arrival in order to guarantee your reservation.

Please be aware, every booking at The Flying Pig Beach hostel is subject to a €2.39 tourist tax per person per night. This is to be paid along with your booking on arrival.

You will be charged for all bookings you make. Please make sure you book at the hostel of your choice (Downtown, Uptown or Beach) for the dates of your choice. If you prolong your stay at the first hostel you booked for, please make sure that you cancel the bookings at the other hostels. If you don't cancel at the other Flying Pig hostels, your credit card will be charged as a no-show.

Cancellations:
We have a three day cancellation policy. If you cancel the reservation at least 3 days in advance of 00:00 on the day of arrival, there is no charge. If you cancel within the 3 days before arrival, the cancellation fee equals the first night of the stay. However, if you cancel your booking within 24hrs of making the reservations and before 12:00pm of the day of arrival you can do so free of charge, please be aware, if you have paid in advance, any refund will be subject to a 5% credit card handling fee.

Any cancellation made after 12:00 pm on the day of arrival will be treated as a no show and therefore charged the full amount.
Any deposit paid to a third party booking agent will not be refunded by the Flying Pig Hostels.
Non refundable reservations are never to be refunded

Please note that if you want to remove 1 bed of a group booking without 3 days notice the first night cancellation fee will apply for that bed.

In case of a No-Show:
You will be charged for full amount of the booking.

How to get here
Please be aware, we no longer have a shuttle bus running to and from Amsterdam
From Schiphol Airport

• Take the train to Leiden Centraal (Travel Time Approx: 1hr)
• From there you can take BUS 20, 21 or 23 to NOORDWIJK and stop at Vuurtorenplein (the lighthouse).
• Our address is 208 Parallel Boulevard.

OR
• Take a train to SASSENHEIM STATION (Travel Time Approx: 50mins)
• From there you can take the BUS Arriva 361 to NOORDWIJK and stop at Vuurtorenplein.
• Walk along the main road towards the beach and turn left at the lighthouse, our address is 208 Parallel Boulevard.

OR
• Take bus 361 direct to the hostel (Travel Time Approx: 1hr 15m)



If you walk with the lighthouse on your right hand side, you can see the hostel from the bus stop which is around 200m away.

By Car

If you are arriving by car take the A44 from Amsterdam to Den Haag and take Exit 6 towards Noordwijk.
o Follow the road straight ahead until you see the lighthouse. Then follow the road to the left.
o Our address is 208 Parallel Boulevard.

Parking options:

• Free car park, 20 minutes walk from the hostel with the postcode 2203AA (Opposite Gooweg 51).
• A car park around 15 euro per day which is 5 minutes walk away with the postcode 2202NV (Wantveld 31).

Parking with our hostel parking permit:
• We have a parking permit that allows you to park in certain areas of the town which are all within a 10-minute walk of the hostel. This permit costs €10 per day, can be booked for multiple day and runs until 13:00 on the last day of use. This permit can only be purchased on arrival and is subject to availability. Please ask our reception staff about availability on arrival.

From Amsterdam

• By Public Transport (Takes approx. 1 hour 20 mins)

o Take the train from AMSTERDAM CENTRAAL to LEIDEN CENTRAAL STATION.
o From there you can take BUS 20, 21 or 23 to NOORDWIJK and stop at Vuurtorenplein (the lighthouse).
o If you walk with the lighthouse on your right hand side, you can see the hostel from the bus stop which is around 200m away.
