I enjoyed staying here in the middle of the rainforest! We saw 3 cassowaries on the property. That being said, there's not much going on in the hostel. You can rent bikes the explore the surroundings. Good to know if you come with Greyhound, you need to call ahead to book the shuttle service that will come and pick you up for a charge.

We loved staying in Jackaroo Treehouse, it was such a retreat from other places we’ve stayed! It’s slightly removed from the tourist spots but very easy to get to these with a car. It was very quiet and calm while we were there, and it had everything we needed. The kitchen was clean and well kept and the cafe on site was great. Would definitely recommend a stay here!!

I really loved the hostel and the remote location in the jungle. I rented a bike and explored the area. Only downside was that the shuttle service didn’t operate and they didn’t let me know beforehand so I paid $30 for a 15 min taxi 🙃 just double check before you go there!
