It smells like bathroom or sewer throughout the halls and in the room. The room was outdated and looked dirty. The room looked like a jail cell. One staff member was rude, but the rest were nice. The environment isn’t like your typical hostel where there are a bunch of travelers socializing and what not. It’s a YMCA so all kinds of people going through. Not sure I would recommend this hostel with all the other nice ones around. The only thing it has going for it is the location to Central Park.
