The Kunsthaus Stadt Wehlen Schuetzenhau Hostel is located 30 km from Dresden in Saxon Switzerland on the Elbe
hillside. The house is located on a mountain, which is to climb on foot in a 350m ascent, in a wildly romantic garden plot. It is a former GDR children's camps, which is structurally and general still in its original state. The house is an art house and also houses the living and working areas of English painter Christopher Haley Simpson. There are only communal toilets and showers. Room with bunk beds. WiFi, and an Internet terminal, fireplace / BBQ area. It is a simple hiker accommodation in an old house directly into a hillside, with wonderful views over the place and the Elbe valley.
Directly in front of the house there is our beer garden, which also offers breakfast and dinner by reservation. In 5 minutes walk distance there is a mini market. The ferry or the baker is 7 minutes walk. In less than 10 minutes walk you already exceeds the border for the core zone of the National Park.
The rooms are very basic but functional. There is a sink with hot water, apart from this fact are the shared showers and toilets.
On the walls are artworks by C. H. Simpson admire. On cold days, the rooms can be heated with stoves themselves.
