Auberge Tamariste

This place was perfect! It was comfortable and clean, and the staff is amazing! The food was incredible too. It felt like most authentic and fresh food I had in my whole trip! And everyone was so warm and welcoming. It is just about as close to the sand dunes as you can get, which was amazing. And I definitely felt safe as a solo female traveller. Highly recommend!

It’s hard to be too picky when you’re on the doorstep of the Sahara but this hostel feels like you’re alone in the middle of nowhere. Luckily the owner’s sister is super kind and welcoming. The guy working at the reception when the owner isn’t around seems like it’s a bother to help you. Maybe it’s because he doesn’t speak English. Kind of eerie But they did their best to make me feel comfortable. Difficult to get to town from here so I felt a bit stranded until the owner kindly gave me ride
