The staff has very poor english and it was really hard to get touristic information, they provide free maps but in Chinese. Good luck if you expect to learn everything to see in Hangzhou from them!

We stay at 10 bed mixed dorm, dorm looks little bit shady and quite dirty, but the prize is super cheap. You get what you pay for. Other rooms look really nice, also bar and courtyard have nice atmosphere. Nice breakfeast for 22 Y, you can do your own pancakes. It is not so far from railway station.

The common area (open air and newly closed) is fantastic! The cats hanging around there are so cute. The 10 bed dorms are good value for money - if you walk in you pay twice the price, book online! Enjoyed my stay, great location if you don't want to be in the city center, but in nature.

I love this hostel. Staffs are very friendly. Around the hostel some local food restrans. If you use bicycle, location problem will be solved.

We stayed in a 10-bed dorm for one night. The beds were comfortable and the room was just about warm enough. The computers were both broken and the restaurant wasn't serving food while we were there but I expect that will be sorted out after Chinese New Year. The place was clean and it's certainly value for money so I would recommend this hostel.

Good side: (1) really really good value for money, only 20RMB if book on hostelworld while walk-in is 40RMB, and ONLY by booking on hostelworld you get FREE breakfast which is priced 22RMB... (2) Almost the biggest hostels in the Siyanjing area, which is a cluster of dozens of hostels. (3) big terrace, bar and library. (4) very very nice reception girls. (5) a curtain on each bed is good for privacy. Bad side: (1)10-bunk dorm is damp and cold, the blanket is too thin in winter. (2) the hot shower doesn't la

Staff was very nice. To say the hostel "has character" is an understatement. Spread across many different levels with many different buildings, it is very interesting and probably beautiful in the summer (winter time = wet and difficult to get up and down slimy, slanted, wooden stairs, eek!). The 10 bed dorm we stayed in was definitely equivalent to the price: ten beds, cement floor, two lights on one end of the room. If you're looking to save money though, this is it!

Avoid dormitory wich is ugly, dusty, and really cold! This hostel may be really nice on summer, but horrible when it's cold. We found a dead mouth on the corridor...

It maintain just of been that week only but the place was a building site , from 8 am to 10 pm there was constant drilling, hammering or sawing, the breakfast changed everyday and the dorms were damp, the shower which was shared between 10 had only 40 mins of hot water, my stay here was cheap but still unpleasurable in comparison to all other hostels iv stayed in.

This hostel is a lovely place to stay and great value for money. I stayed in a private room which had i would say "rustic charm" ;) but was amazingly good value considering you even got your own private bathroom! The staff were super kind and helpful and spoke really good English. The bar is reasonable (though I'm not sure about the quality of the spirits they use in the cocktails :s but that's by the by) and had a nice, social atmosphere, but closed at 11 so it didn't disturb anyone's sleeping.

probably a very nice place to go in summer, no heating on nights that got down to -3 wasn't very good. The bathrooms also were very smelly, incredibly cheap for the dorm though, so i guess you get what you pay for. Also bar was not heated either, and it is very overpriced.

One of the nicest hostels I stayed during my two months trip. I liked 1The staffs were super friendly and helpful, smiling a lot, humorous, helping me a lot 2The atmosphere was very nice, design of this hostel was brilliant 3Convenient transportation. Lots of buses are available, less than 5 mins by walking to bus station I didn't like 1Only a few sockets&no WIFI in dorm room, AC&water heater didn't work very well 2Few restaurant and stores around 3A little bit far away from bars and supermarket

Staff wasn't friendly and they would close the bar/ common room before 11:00 pm every night, so that we had no places but our room to stay. The dormitory was freezing cold. No heaters. We couldn't rent bikes from the hostel despite the fact that they had a sign, saying, "bikes for rent". Only good thing was the free breakfast, which wasn't a buffet even though the sign read that, and the price, which was cheap.
