The room was clean enough, but it was very small. It's difficult to unpack/pack. The bathroom was also tiny. Great neighborhood though. Close to Chinatown MRT Station, temples and lots of souvenir shops.

location good, clean, breakfast OK. but the room not too good.. you can hear people walk in the room, and you can hear other room voice in the room. cannot relax sleep at night. also if there's a kids running or laughing that's very annoying. because i can hear all inside the room. i don't want to stay here anymore.

The shared toilets and bathroom should be clean more often with the high occupancy rate

AC was not working properly in room 25! Restroom and shower section could have been cleaner!

our room was number 12, right in front of thr door is the duct for air conditioning system which is noisy all the time, and was leaking right in front of our room. I know for the fact that the bathroom space is really tight, which is the standard. the pantry is small, though there is a giant TV but all the chanel were screwed. breakfast time is the worst, we have to wait and ask for more bread and milk and fruits as they were always depleted the whole time.

Clean and comfortable, strategic location nearby mrt station and food court area. Very small room. Ladder on the two storage bed is a bit dangerous for kids.

The location is excellent, near mrt. Food hopping is great in this area. Staff was nice, ask and you will get friendly answers.I was not able to see all the rooms, but I was satisfied with the room (good for 3 ) that was given to us. Although the room was small, there was still enough space for huge luggage.I would suggest a small table be placed inside. Toilet and bath is small too, if this is a concern, ask photos. .Simple breakfast but loved the unlimited teh tarik and coffee!

We booked a twin room with private facilities and I could not believe the bathroom it was so narrow. Also no window in the room. To shower you would certainly wet the toilet paper. All day long there was a loud vibration type of noise which the staff said was the ventilator running. When I commented on the bathroom (such as it was) to staff they told me to use the communal showers. For an extra $40 we could've stayed 4* at Clarke Quay. I didnt stay the second night, no refund.

Sheets and towels were white and clean. Beds were big and soft enough. Common toilet was not smelly. Beds have individual lamps, which were really useful at night. Great tips in the lounge area – really loved the Maxwell Food Center, “yummy food here”. Free coffee all day along was the best :) Though I hope maybe you can also add juice and tea to your drinks selection.

The hostel is very good, for moslem it's recommended to stay even the hostel is in chinatown but across the hostel there's a mosque, so you will easily to pray there. And around the hostel there are some restaurant for halal food with cheap price. The staff also nice and very helpful. :)

Great location and friendly helpful staff. But let down by tiny rooms with no windows. Also the showers and toilets are in constant use, and have little ventilation, so its hot and smells odd. They really have tried to pack as many people as possible in, rooms are bare except a bunk bed with little comfort, no side lamps, one clothes hook, bare minimum. Its also very noisy, all the guest stomp around all hours. Try a no shoes rule like Malaysia?. There were a few children too, not very relaxing.

Great location! Close to subway! The reception area/cafe is very nice! Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful! You can have your laundry done for you which was a huge plus for you! Only downside was that the rooms were tiny. The shower didn't really get very hot and it was right over the toilet and it was impossible not to get everything in the bathroom soaking wet. But for expensive singapore it was pretty good value for money!
