It was very interesting place to stay. The only down side was that I was staying right under the decking area. It was quite noisy during the night. Very nice atmosphere and love the location.

To stay on the hotelboat had a great atmosphere. The staff was very friendly an the rooms were clean. The hotelboat ist only 10 minutes by feet from the main train station. We stayed there for three nights. you can reach all sightseeing points by feet or you can take a tram. the tram starts at the main train station for example. The rooms on the hotelboat are small but its enough because you only want to sleep there. In my opinion its a good value for money. i would stay there again.

When coming to Amsterdam we wanted to stay at the hostelboat and we do not regret it by any means. We had read some comments that the rooms are tiny and were afraid of that but that wasn't that bad! The hostel is super clean, perfectly located the owners are very nice and helpful, breakfast was good as well. And the atmosphere of living on a boat is pretty cool as well. True recommendation!

We shared a room over the remembrance weekend and had such an amazing time. The hotelboat made it a really fun experience, there were very clean facilities and lovely staff. We loved the quirkiness of the boat and that you had an honesty box for beer/drinks. Thank you!!

Had a really nice stay, would recommend to anyone wanting to explore Amsterdam without the need for a fancy hotel. Location is excellent and the boat is kept very clean. My only niggle is that I'm 6'5, and the rooms are about 6'4 wide.. so when sharing the bunk with the Mrs I was touching either end of the room! Doubt that'd be a problem for anyone else..

Absolutely loved it. The bathrooms, although shared, are spotless, the breakfast was pretty tasty and the location is quite good. A lot of people complain about the rooms being small, but I didn't find that to be a disadvantage (although I wish the mirror wasn't so high up and there was a wastebasket). I don't recommend it to people that have sleeping problems though. Even with ear plugs the noise from the other rooms can be rather audible sometimes

It was very nice. The Staff was very nice - I would leave at 7 A.M. and he gave me my breakfast in the previous night because in the morning there would not be nobody there - and I loved the idea of be in a boat. Everything's fine. :D

Quiet, clean and cozy Hotelboat with a perfect location. 15 min. walk from Amsterdam Centraal, 20 min walk from the red-light area. My room was quite small but anyway I have had a good sleep. The captain was very polite and cheerful man. He answered all my questions about sightseing and left a good impression. Good breakfast. In my opinion, Hotelboat suits well for those who travel with children or just prefer to have a good rest after long walks. Undoubtedly it doesn't suits for parties.

Toilets and showers are clean but there is no soap in soap dispenser. And the wifi connection is very very bad. In my room wifi signal was very weak for connect. I have to go upstairs to connect internet but after 5 minutes a problem occured in router I think. I cannot connect to wifi anywhere in the boat. Other than these things it is a very fine hostel. It is downtown, very near to train station.

We absolutely loved this hostel boat. It was perfect for us four girls travelling to Amsterdam for 7 days. The location was quite good, a bit of a walk of like 15-20min if you were in the center of Amsterdam (perfect when we rent bikes though). The owners of the boat were really great, helped us with any questions and were very clear about basic "rules" they had on the boat. Only negative thing is that the walls are thin and you hear everything, not nice when there is a screaming kid.

We stayed for 2 nights in the 4-bed room and were absolutely pleased by the accomodation. The owner and his wife (?) were very friendly and helpful. The whole boat was very clean. Breakfast was excellent. The distance to central station was rather short so we didn't need to call a taxi every time we went back to the hostel. Pay attention to the stairs on the boat: they're quite steep.

A well placed location and value for money. It would benefit from a security box installed for peace of mind as I felt that one lock on the door was all that seperated me from a lot of trouble (money and passport wise). Other than this small concern the hostel had everything we needed for the duration of the visit.

For what your paying it is not worth it. It is a far walk from everything and you should just stay in a hostel for the money you pay, the location, and the atmosphere you get from it. The rooms are so small that you can barely breathe and the walls are paper thin! Dont waste your money or your time stay in a hotel or hostel closer to everything for cheaper.

I loved staying on the Amsterdam Hostel Boat. The people working there were super friendly and treated you like family. I woke up to a great breakfast and could come back in the afternoon for unlimited coffee and tea, it was a nice treat. The rooms were great and provided you with your own sink and towells. Great time
