We shared a room over the remembrance weekend and had such an amazing time. The hotelboat made it a really fun experience, there were very clean facilities and lovely staff. We loved the quirkiness of the boat and that you had an honesty box for beer/drinks. Thank you!!

So clean, GREAT breakfast, nice staff, quaint and cute! Nothing negative to say! This is one of the cutest places I've ever stayed in Europe; highly recommend.

Had a really nice stay, would recommend to anyone wanting to explore Amsterdam without the need for a fancy hotel. Location is excellent and the boat is kept very clean. My only niggle is that I'm 6'5, and the rooms are about 6'4 wide.. so when sharing the bunk with the Mrs I was touching either end of the room! Doubt that'd be a problem for anyone else..

It was very nice. The Staff was very nice - I would leave at 7 A.M. and he gave me my breakfast in the previous night because in the morning there would not be nobody there - and I loved the idea of be in a boat. Everything's fine. :D

Absolutely loved it. The bathrooms, although shared, are spotless, the breakfast was pretty tasty and the location is quite good. A lot of people complain about the rooms being small, but I didn't find that to be a disadvantage (although I wish the mirror wasn't so high up and there was a wastebasket). I don't recommend it to people that have sleeping problems though. Even with ear plugs the noise from the other rooms can be rather audible sometimes

Quiet, clean and cozy Hotelboat with a perfect location. 15 min. walk from Amsterdam Centraal, 20 min walk from the red-light area. My room was quite small but anyway I have had a good sleep. The captain was very polite and cheerful man. He answered all my questions about sightseing and left a good impression. Good breakfast. In my opinion, Hotelboat suits well for those who travel with children or just prefer to have a good rest after long walks. Undoubtedly it doesn't suits for parties.

Toilets and showers are clean but there is no soap in soap dispenser. And the wifi connection is very very bad. In my room wifi signal was very weak for connect. I have to go upstairs to connect internet but after 5 minutes a problem occured in router I think. I cannot connect to wifi anywhere in the boat. Other than these things it is a very fine hostel. It is downtown, very near to train station.

We absolutely loved this hostel boat. It was perfect for us four girls travelling to Amsterdam for 7 days. The location was quite good, a bit of a walk of like 15-20min if you were in the center of Amsterdam (perfect when we rent bikes though). The owners of the boat were really great, helped us with any questions and were very clear about basic "rules" they had on the boat. Only negative thing is that the walls are thin and you hear everything, not nice when there is a screaming kid.

We stayed for 2 nights in the 4-bed room and were absolutely pleased by the accomodation. The owner and his wife (?) were very friendly and helpful. The whole boat was very clean. Breakfast was excellent. The distance to central station was rather short so we didn't need to call a taxi every time we went back to the hostel. Pay attention to the stairs on the boat: they're quite steep.

A well placed location and value for money. It would benefit from a security box installed for peace of mind as I felt that one lock on the door was all that seperated me from a lot of trouble (money and passport wise). Other than this small concern the hostel had everything we needed for the duration of the visit.

This place was great. I was by myself so I booked two beds (my own cabin), but the price was still reasonable (especially for Amsterdam). The staff was very helpful. Staying on the Hotelboat was a unique and enjoyable experience I would recommend to anyone!

For what your paying it is not worth it. It is a far walk from everything and you should just stay in a hostel for the money you pay, the location, and the atmosphere you get from it. The rooms are so small that you can barely breathe and the walls are paper thin! Dont waste your money or your time stay in a hotel or hostel closer to everything for cheaper.

I loved staying on the Amsterdam Hostel Boat. The people working there were super friendly and treated you like family. I woke up to a great breakfast and could come back in the afternoon for unlimited coffee and tea, it was a nice treat. The rooms were great and provided you with your own sink and towells. Great time

Excellent location, breakfast, shower and staff. Cabins are really small but that is what you should expect when booking a room on a boat. Great experience, highly recommended.

Very friendly staff, Boat located very near to central station, 5min by walk. Our only complain room was very small for two people, you dont even have a place to put your luggage. But hey, this is a boat ! It was very nice experience.

Excellent value for money on a lovely little boat. Was a little apprehensive about shared facilities but these were always so clean! I was very impressed. The rooms were smal but what you expect on a boat and the beds comfortable and warm. You almost dont want to leave them in the morning. Breakfast is served up on the boats lounge which is lovely and full of character. The hosts were brilliant from arrival. Only downside is no wifi till 11am which can be an issue for planning your day online
