Facilities were a bit run down but functional. I especially enjoyed chatting with locals and travelers at the bar, although felt the closing time was a bit early. My only real complaint would be that the showers were small and awkwardly situated (one inside the kitchen and the other a floor below the sinks).

Hostel is supposed to be non-smoking but the smoke from the downstairs bar drifts quite well up to the third floor. Twin room was the size of a closet with thin mattresses on the bunk bed. Bathrooms weren't the cleanest nor the most private (unless you're an exhibitionist) with doors opening straight out into the corridor. Definitely better value places in the area if they have room.

I was here on New Years Eve. There was a great atmosphere with lots of great people. The staff was excellent, and very helpful. The rooms were decent and there was even a washing machine! Great hostel!

If you travel to Tokyo during a busy time, book early so you don't have to stay at this hostel. In 2 nights our aircon & powerpoints cut out 3 times, we had to go & buy towels because a group had stolen all of the rental towels, it was difficult to get a shower & not much privacy in there! Soap, shampoo, washing powder not provided. Only 1 washing machine & dryer & the dryer was out of order. We stayed at 6 hostels in Japan & this was by far the worst. DONT STAY HERE! Beds are uncomfortable too.

When we arrived, the reception staff were very nice and checked us in quickly. However, the beds were so thin we couldn't get a good nights sleep =( The kitchen appeared decently clean, however we spotted cockroaches on the wall above the stove and in the utensil drawers. The bar was nice for getting to know others. Overall I would not recommend this place. There are at least four other hostels within 10 minutes walk, all of which appear to be better than this place.

A wee schlep from the station, but a cute location and a great view of Sky Tree from our room! The staff was super accommodating in getting us a room on short notice over a busy holiday time. Quiet neighborhood, comfy and clean bedding, maybe the curtains would be better if they were a little more black-out, but very nice nonetheless!

A combination of the bar downstairs and communal kitchens on each floor made this the most social of all the hostels we stayed in while in Japan. I made several new friends, then jeopardized them by playing Munchkin until the early hours of the morning.

Liked that it had free wifi. Ultimate flaw was that we both got many bites when we stayed there from what I'm guessing is bed bugs.

The room was bunk beds and not a twin, however that was a minor point. The matress cover was stained yellow and the level of cleanliness was not very good. Room also stank as dd the duvet. We did not stay the night and just used it for bag storage and stayed at friends hotel room on the floor which although not very comfortable at least we knew no nasty bugs were going to attack us. I would expect these conditions in lesser prosperous countries, but not in Tokyo. Room 308

The staff seemed overwhelmed and unable to keep people from making a general mess of things. I suppose the low price brings a certain type of person to the place. Guests were inconsiderate, noisy throughout the night, and in my room there were two sleeping two to a bunk so that a 4 person room had 6 people in it. I ended up keeping everything in a locker (free, just ask the desk for a key) because the place seemed really "sketchy."

I stayed one week there and it is a very nice hostel. They think in many things to make the guest feel like in home. If I go back to Japan, sure I return. Cool hostel, cool people, very kind, make my days in Tokyo better. Take care!!

Good for a cheap place to stay. You will meat some savy travellers. Good location. The shared bar entrace area on the ground floor lacks ambience and drinks are 500 yen. Could be better but if your desperate it could be a lot worse.
