Way at the far end of the metro line. Filthy beyond excuse(sanitary pad in the showers, brown smear on bed, half dead cockroach, hair/dust coating). Looked like a hospital for the mentally insane . Paper thin walls. Towels cost 2 euro a piece with a 10 euro deposit on top of that. The entire place reeked. No soap/paper towel by the sinks in the ladies bathroom which didn\'t seem to be an issue for all the people who used the toilet w/o washing their hands. We endured 3 nights. you don\'t have to.

Apparently, my reservation through hostelworld was not forwarded to Auberge des 3 Fontaines. Upon arrival I was told there were no rooms available. I was directed to a wi-fi hot spot to try and find a place for the night. The internet wi-fi was not functional. If not for the kindness of Elisabeth at reception I would have slept on the street. She was able to cajole the cleaning staff into making up a bed for me after their working hours. What about the $4.08 deposit and $2.00 service fee?

Very far from city center and small possibilites for interaction with other guests. Go for it if your looking only for a place do sleep.

I have travelled around Europe and have stayed in various types of hostels. Run from this place. It describes itself as being close to the city; it isn't. If you travel alone, it will be risky because of the area. It is the furthest train stop on the 5, plus walk 15 min. When you get there, service will be terrible. I asked the woman if there was a kitchen to cook our food (we're backpackers). "Ha, no." Computers to print our train tickets? "No. Sucks for you. Tough." It is half sports gym...

In the description on Hostel World, it makes it seem like the hostel is very close to downtown Brussels, but in fact it takes quite awhile to get there. Other than the location, the hostel was amazing!

Very disappointed. The hostel still owes me 20 euro and have not attempted to give me the money. Very dishonest. Michael Elderfield
