Decent hostel in a decent location, only 15minutes walk to the main centre. Few pubs along the way such as The Crown. Pubs closer by too and a KFC. The causeway cafe is great, good breakfast for a fiver. Hostel rooms were what they were, very quiet as well.

The hostel is far from the center, when I arrived for check-in the staff we said we had thatt leave the passport at the front desk and pick up only at check out. I not liked to leave, but I had no option.

Great hostel and would be best in Belfast save for ever so early 11pm shutdown of common areas.

The man at the front was horribly rude. I was the only native English speaker of the group and was trying to explain to my friends that we had to leave a photo id at the desk to get an key card (a ridiculous policy, I don't know about you, but I don't typically trust someone with the only copy of my passport) and he interrupted my conversation to inform my group that it wasn't his fault I did a terrible job at informing them of their policies before booking their rooms. Also, no free breakfast..

The stay alltogether was ok. But there was no Soap in the toilets and the room quite damp.

The hostel itself is very clean and a nice place to stay, but we were not content with our passports being held for the duration of the stay. We travelled up to Belfast for the Dubshed show, and had the intention of going out that night. Our passports we're taken off us at check-in which left us with no ID for the club. The reason provided for such was to discourage us from taking the keycard? We offered a substancial deposit which would have covered multiple cards but the policy remained.

very impressed with the guy on reception who recognised me and knew my name every time I came in to the Hostel. I like the quiet policy between 23.00-07.00. The onsite cafe staff were very friendly with nothing being too much trouble and the quality of food was good value for money. I will stay again if I am in Belfast again which I hope I will be.

No WiFi in room, staffs are friendly.

The location of the hostel was kinda far from the main hub of Belfast (20 min walk) in an area that is very closed down and dirty. The bathrooms were clean, except for the grubby finger prints all over the door handle and door. They didn't provide soap to wash your hands afterwards in your room-- so it makes you wonder how many people actually washed their hands after using the bathroom... My room was a 4 bed room and they only provided 2 lockers. The wifi only kinda works in the main lobby

Install wifi maybe? Also, have 4 lockers in a 4 person shared room.

Hi there, we do have wi-fi on the ground floor and this also reaches some of the rooms. We are planning to equip the rooms with more lockers in the near future. Safe Travels Belfast International Youth Hostel

I have a problem with my back. When booking, I asked for a lower bed. I was told this cannot be done. I was hoping to get there early, but did not. Only free bed was upper, could not get in. When describing this to the person on Reception, I was told "tough luck". When asking whether I could sit downstairs, I was told "not allowed!" Thankfully one very kind girl switched bed, I did not realize that discriminating against disabled people is legal again!!!

Hello and thank you for taking the time to review us. Due to various practicalities, we are unable to allocate specific beds within rooms prior to arrival. The exception here is the larger dorms, but even this is sometimes difficult to enforce. Nevertheless we do keep all of our policies under review and your own comments will play a part in this process. Safe Travels Belfast International Youth Hostel

Check-in staff did not concentrate on his work and he gave wrong room number to us. The wifi does not cover inside the room/dorm. Toliets are not cleaned and most of them are smelly. Sufficient facilities, including kitchen and kettle, for backpackers (or a group of friends for weekend trip).

Shower drained very slowly causing room to fill with water, making it very difficult to get dressed.

Friendly staff, welcoming environment, great location. fantastic cafe seeing freshly cooked breakfasts. Added bonus of having a good tour Company office based on the premises. Furniture in main reception area a bit tired, and would have been useful to have a chair or small table in the bedroom. Otherwise very high standards.

Great place, very clean and lovely staff. Bathrooms and showers everywhere too so no worries. Very quiet too, just a little bit of a walk from the centre but not too far.

Good hostel an awesome staff.

The building plant (heating and plumbing) is a bit noisy- not a problem overnight but sleeping in the day (I was working nights) was a bit iffy. Self-catering kitchen was excellent except there was no grill (so no cheese on toast for me). On site catering was good but operates mornings only, prices good for Belfast (bit pricey for me then).

Arrived to the hostel a few days before st paddys. Not much atmosphere in the common areas-mostly large groups. A lot of noise from the streets below in the early hours. Only two points in the room for charging. Shower in the room was disgusting. Took atleast 3 minutes to heat up so you were freezing. Water accumulated and almost ran outside the room - also making it difficult to get dressed afterwards as everything was wet. When the water accumulated it disturbed mould under the drain
