I stayed for one night here and found all the staff very friendly and helpful - The tuk tuk driver even got up at 6am to take me to the airport! The room was very basic, but clean as were the shower/toilet. The lounge area is very spacious and comfortable. Free wifi. Didn\'t see many other guest so not a lot in the way of atmosphere but really enjoyed my stay here.

I learned a lot from the tour to the killing fields but it sometimes felt a little unprofessional! On the tour and around the hostel! Often the head guy wasn't around and his other didn't speak much English. Only stayed 2 nights out of the 4 and that was enough for me. Glad to have wifi to plan rest of trip! And the place was clean and in a great location.

We had booked a room at Blue dog, but when we got there we didnt get the room and we had to stay at Red dog. This was not what we expected and it was NOT the same as Blue dog. No fasilities and resturant, it was even difficult to get in contact with the staff. AND we paid the same.

Were to spend 4 days at Blue Dog, ended by staying about a month. Really friendly staff, good food and good value for money. Rooms are simple but like I said, good value for the money. My room was really hot and the fan was on all of the time. Had another room for a while which was much cooler. Shared bathroom but you get used to it. Very good location with many bars, restaurants and just 5 minutes to Riverside by motorbike. I can really recommend it!

Nice Hostel! The staff helps you in any circumstances and tries to find the best solution for any prob. The guys who were living there the same time like I, were awesome. Jammin' on the guitars during the night on a tuctuc is only one of a few unforgetable moments I had there. They also got two computers you can use for internet stuff and something. Although, the location is not in "the centre", its still not too bad because you can get cheap foot around the hostel and the river isn't far away.

They overbooked at the Blue Dog and sent us to their sister hostel walking distance away called Heartwood which looked a bit better inside anyway as the reception area for Blue Dog was a bit dodgy. Staff were friendly enough, rooms were clean and comfortable. Our new room didnt have aircon and just a fan plus we had to share a bathroom with the dorm above instead of our own bathroom which made things a bit uncomfortable but apart from that it was a pleasant stay.

Really enjoyed my stay. Perfect for a budget hostel. Their other hostel Red Dog is basic and 5-10 mins walk further out from Blue Dog but also good and has more space and privacy.

When we arrived there the owner don't find our reservation. So he find us a place in one of his other guest house (red dog guest house). No Internet for the first day. Really really noisy. And the most important the owner come back home the last night completely drunk around 5am. We was screaming on his wife and he started to beat her until we tell him will call the police. The worse experience of my all trip, all most two years...

I have special dietary needs and the staff at Blue Dog was able to adjust meals when I asked. They even cooked food I brought to them from the market that they normally don't have on their menu...I was ABOVE AND BEYOND grateful!!!

A so nice hostel with a so nice staff! Only my cheap room had neither window nor private bathroom, and it is a bit away from the center, but my memories are very good!

We had booked this hostel for one night in phnom penh and, it was about a $7 US tuk tuk ride from the airport. The staff were really friendly but we ended up staying near the riverside because we found a better place that was about $2 extra a night by the river and was a lot cleaner. We stayed in a triple room which had all you needed really but the air con didn't work and the bathroom wasn't too great. Overall the hostel is ok! But I would recommend somewhere near te riverside!!
