Las Cabinas were a great place to stay! I stayed the weekend with my sister and a friend. The cabina was pretty spacious - two bedrooms each with a single and double bed, a nice bathroom, small kitchen, a table, and a little deck off the back with a hammock. A great place to relax, and pretty quiet since it is not in the center of town. There is also a river that runs behind the cabinas - very beautiful and you can swim if you want as well. The people that run it are great too!

Staying at the cabins here was a great experience because it was away from the center of town and it's so quiet and peaceful. The sounds of the woods and the river lulls you to sleep right away. You do have to be careful with bugs once it gets dark but we didn't have much problem. The manager speaks only Spanish but his son was really helpful. And you can only pay by cash. But over all it's a great value for your money and a great spot for quiet reflection.

My wife and I really liked the location so near to the La fortuna Waterfall. The cottage was roomy but only had one comfortable plastic chair and two hard stools, and was quite hot in the mid day (the lack of a ceiling and the hard surface of the roof, probably metal, contributed to the heat). We had enough hot water, liked the setting, landscaping, wildlife, the nearby stream, and the breakfast area was especially pretty. The food for breakfast was quite decent. The hosts speak no English.

I loved this place!!!!!!!! It was a ways from the center of town which was great since there were no tourists whatsoever. The place is beautiful and Felix (the owner) is so nice. He gave us a tour of his property which includes a river and several different kinds of fruits. Breakfast was delicious. This was my favorite place that we stayed in all of Costa Rica! The owners only speak Spanish though just FYI.
