Welcome to Batzu! We are a small hostel bringing you homey vibes. Thank you for your support!
We are just a short 5-minute walk to the centre of Fortuna. Enjoy the peace and tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of the centre.
We offer free parking, Wi-Fi, and a welcoming reception until 22:00.
Costa Rican coffee is also included every morning - help yourself!

Come enjoy our outdoor terrace, where you can see toucans, iguanas, and monkeys in the treeline if you're lucky!

Additional amenities include:
a shared kitchen on the main level with a gas stove, microwave, fridge, kettle, pots, pans, cups and cutlery. Separate baskets for each guest to store their own food.

1 vanity (second floor, stairs required),
3 showers with hot water (second floor, stairs required),
3 toilets (second floor, stairs required),

Laundry Service
$5 per-kg or 2,500 colones per-kg


Hostel Batzu Policy and Condition:

Cancellation Policy: 1 day before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.

Best hostel I have ever stayed at. Bela and Fabian treated us like family and I hung out with them all the time! Family dinners, going to see the rainforest and playing games in the evening, honestly I couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you!

Fabian is the host who does the most! Originally, Hostel Batzu was just going to be a place to sleep, but after helping me get settled in, Fabian helped me get a night plan with a tour of the rainforest where we caught brilliant pictures of frogs, bugs, and even a snake, and pointed me in the direction for vegetarian options for both dinner and breakfast. Most impressivly, he instilled a deeper understanding and appreciation of the local conversation efforts! ¡Pura vida, indeed!

The owners are absolutely incredible people. A perfectly good hostel stay - all you can want + more with towels and soap, very clean bathrooms and showers, hot water, AC, comfortable beds, everything you could possibly need. The owners took time out of their day to make ours better, and also had two very cute cats! I highly recommend!
