The staff was excellent. They helped us plan trips, reserve trips, and shows us things around town. They suggested and great horseback riding excursion that we really enjoyed.

Casa Margouya is perfectly located in Puerto Varas, sandwiched between a chocolate shop, a pizzeria and nearby coffee shop/bar El Barista, another favourite in the town. Beds were comfy, showers were hot and staff friendly.

A nice hostel with friendly staff right in the centre of town, comfortable beds and a decent breakfast. The main problem with it was noise; it's an old building and the walls are not much more than planks of wood and the common area is directly outside all of the rooms, so people staying up and chatting can be heard from bed almost as though they're in the room with you.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and my single room was nice, but my stay was not good because it was very hard to sleep. The walls are really thin, and you can hear every noise, even heavy breathing in other rooms - guests stay up late and return drunk at all hours of the morning, ring the doorbell, talk etc, making it impossible to sleep. I had to sleep during the day because the hostel was quiet then, as I couldn't sleep during the night.

Great hostel! I really enjoyed my stay here. It's a tiny hostel which makes it easy to get to know people. It is nicely designed, and it has a great atmosphere. The staff is incredibly nice! Facilities are ok; Breakfast is not big, but it's good. I would definitely recommend this hostel.

Very nice place to stay. Dorm was spacious and beds were warm and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly. There is a reasonable sized common area and the kitchen is big enough for 2 to cook at. It is very entrally located.

Great location, friendly, informative staff. I liked that breakfast was slightly different every day - the usual breads, spreads and tea/coffee, but some days also cereal and yoghurt, or avocado and ham, or pineapple and tomato. Mixed things up a bit. There are only 2 bathrooms and the toilet is in the same room with the shower, so you sometimes have to wait to go.

I stayed in the single room, which was very tiny. you had to climb a very step and tiny starcase to reach the room. People tried to open the door as they thought it is a storage room. Would not recommend the single room - too expensive for what you get. The dorms seemed quite ok. However, there are a lot of hostels in Pte Varas - you might better for same or less price.
