Central Palma Youth Hostel Reviews

Walking distance from the Plaza Mayor and Placa d'Espanya. I was worried about cleanliness after reading reviews, but everything was typical for a hostel. Main complaint is that there are only 2 bathrooms/floor, and only 1 of them has a shower. Since there weren't any stalls, the entire bathroom would be occupied, and there was a decent line to use the shower in the mornings. Towels are 3 euros. If you need to be close to the historic center, avg place to stay. Glad I only was there 2 nights.

It is needed a room for keeping lugage.

Two Spanish men who work in the reception are rude, make drama about nearly everything and make guests feeling even guilty about their stay. The staff even promotes extremely loud sounds, shouting and door slamming until 2 or 3 am because receptionists take part in parties in the bar downstairs and does not ask the loud customers to respect the others. I was also disgusted by dirty and stained bed linen because other people’s public hairs were found on my sheet and pillowcase.

The matratses for the beds were really Bad and should Not be used any more. The staff was Not able speakimg english. And also no lockers in the room. And I booked a 4bed-room and Ended up in a 6bed-room.

Nice location (although a bit hard to find!), security pretty nonexistent but it was in a nice area, cleanliness was not good - no toilet paper for two days and trash wasn't taken out more than once the whole four days. Not a very social atmosphere, not good for meeting people, if I was paying less than 25 pounds a night I'd be more accepting of it, but I've stayed in nicer places for a lot less. Overall, pretty decent and would probably stay again, but not as impressed as I could have been.
