The hostel was located in a good location and holds frequent events for the guests. Hence, it was very sociable and my stay there was very enjoyable. The staff were also very friendly and gave lots of useful tips and were very helpful. Would definitely stay here again if I'm in Beijing.

Great courtyard hostel, wasn't much going on, but it was understandable given its the low season. A bit of a trek to the main area like forbidden city etc. but the metro station was very close and easy to use. Staff were very friendly, free breakfast, defs recommend this place. Organised great tours to the wall

great place, fantastic service and people. However, i stayed there in the winter so the showers where a bit cold, but i would still go stay there again. I can imagine it would be a magical place in the spring or during summer.

Very lovely and traditional hostel in the middle of a hutong. The staff organizes great activities like making dim sum and visiting the great wall. We loved to stay here! It makes your holiday way more personal and you see a lot of the Chinese culture then when you stay in a hotel. In the winter it is too cold for us because of the cold room, central room and toilet and bathroom only reachable by going outsid (we stayed in the bunkbed room). But for the rest we would really recommend the hostel!

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Close to the metro,'although the walk down the alley to the hostel a bit daunting at night. The room was very comfortable, and bed was comfortable. Good restaurants and dumpling stall very close. The breakfast was a non event, three choices, toast or noodles, or museli; not all availabe every day.

Loved the staff (especially the older lady who was always trying to teach us chinese and made us hot Chinese medicine tea coz she saw us coughing!) the only problem was there was NO hot showers! And when it was minus 10 outside that's not the best. Would be a great place to stay in summer though.

I am very satisfy with this hostel. I booked private room and it very warm and the bed is very cozy. The bathroom was kinda cold because it winter. The shower give plenty of hot water which it good enough for me. The staffs are friendly, well informative about place to go, and well spoken english. The only thing I wish to add is more free breakfast options.

The double-bed ensuite was more of a king-size and a bit ensuite. The bed was huuuuge. It was very cold when we were there, but they had placed a couple of heaters in the room for us, which helped - though this is Beijing in winter - so there is only so much they can do. What they could do, they did. Xiao Ding on reception was lovely, and always willing to help. Location was great for us, given we arrived & left from Beijing South Station, but it does take 40ish mins to walk to Tian'anmen.

We liked this place, even though it was very cold in wintertime with only one little heater in the room, and the restrooms were outside^^ Nevertheless we enjoyed the dumplings and the warm atmosphere. Thank you :)

While quiet, this is mainly because I was there during low season. It must be a buzzing place during high season. The hostel was very clean and well kept. The staff very friendly, and a great location. I would return here in the future.

Down a very dodgy looking street and the toilets and showers are outside, but a lovely hostel with a lovely family and the dumpling parties are amazing!
