The subterranean City Hostel - Central Station was recently renovated and features natural lighting through the cleverly-designed glass roof. Hostelworld guests have said this hostel is clean, cosy, warm, secure and 'very tidy and well managed', with doors locked by key code. Our users have also noted their appreciation of the friendly ambience of the hostel, such as the music which is piped throughout, including the bathrooms. In fact, several of our users have said this is the best hostel they've stayed at - a 'favourite' that they would 'definitely recommend'.
Property Information:
City Hostel is located 450 meters from the airport buses and the central station with trains, buses and subway communications, right in the middle of Stockholm City!
A new part of the hostel opened in February 2008 and the other part was totally renovated in June 2006. A new entrance and kitchen was built in May 2009.
City Hostel has a capacity of 88 beds and offers accommodation suitable for all age groups in a relaxed and international atmosphere. Showers and toilets are found in the corridor.
There is a TV and DVD player in all private rooms. All beds have a personal reading light.
The hostel itself is located in a popular area close to pubs, nightclubs, restaurants and all sorts of entertainment, such as large cinema complexes. The area is safe to walk in, and is one of the nicest neighbourhoods in Stockholm.
This is the perfect place to stay for a weekend break or even when you have to stay the night just to wait for the next flight.

We think guests most appreciate our friendly staff and the outstanding location. It's very convenient to walk to/from the Central Station and the City Terminal (with flight buses and trains) to our hostel. Our guests also appreciate that City Hostel is a quiet place where you can get a good night's sleep. The music in the bathrooms is appreciated as well as the cleanliness of the facility.

The City Hall (known for the Noble Prize festivities) is a few minutes' walk along the water and the Old Town with the Royal Castle is another few minutes away from the City Hall. But the best area is downtown! We recommend all our guests to explore Stockholm by foot with City Hostel as starting point. Our city is not that big, so you can see many sights by walking and at the same time enjoy the clean, safe and beautiful city of Stockholm.
Our main age group actually varies a lot; the majority are between 20-35 though. For fun they meet other guests and get together for a day or evening out in town. Since the mood of the hostel is very 'easy going', people read books, surf the web or just chill!- Erik, Owner/Manager

Cancellation Policy
This property has a 1 day cancellation policy.Failure to cancel within this time will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first night of your stay.
Things to Note
Check-in: between 1400 and 1800. If you will be arriving after 1800 you need to contact us via email at least 48hrs ahead of time in order to receive the door code. Check-out: 1100. Reception is open from 0900 to 1800; if you arrive after 0900 and before check-in begins, you�re welcome to leave your luggage with us.
We have a 24hr cancellation policy. Cancellations must be made by 1500 the day before arrival. Late cancellations and no-shows shall be charged the equivalent of the first night�s accommodation. Special conditions apply to groups.
All beds are supplied with a duvet and a pillow. Bed linen and towels are available at the reception for hire (50SEK per person per stay) or alternatively you can bring your own. Please note that either way bed linen must be used. Due to hygienic reasons, the use of sleeping bag is not allowed.
Alcohol is not permitted.
Smoking is not permitted.
Noisy behaviour is not allowed.
Visitors are not allowed.
We have quiet hours around the clock. You party downtown - not in the hostel.
There�s no curfew and we�re open all year.
