This was one of the most interesting hostels I have stayed in - didn't feel like a hostel. The lady there (Anie?) treated us all like guests to her home. It is a small place - I met only around 7 people there but we all socialised together and were taken out to see the city/get food by Anie and we even had dinner cooked for us by her! There were times when this felt a little overbearing but only once or twice. Very clean, perfect location and good value when claiming the free night in KL.

Aunty Aini was very kind and sweet. The atmosphere was also good. All the hostel was very clean and well-arranged. I could feel Chinatown night market very well.

Thanks Auntie Aini for a wonderful stay. Staying at Fernloft Chinatown has always given me the comfort like that of staying at home with a family member. I'll definitely stay at this hostel or at any Fernloft branch when I go back to Singapore. I highly recommend to all backpackers staying at this hostel.

Lovely host who was very welcoming and helpful. The location is fantastic. Right in China Town, so very close to great food. Having breakfast on the balcony looking at the lovely temple was great. We had no problems asking to keep the remote for the air con in our room over night so we could turn it on/off as we pleased. Very clean, but would be great if the toilet could have the leak fixed and maybe even a fan in there as you can get very steamy in there. But would recommend this place!

The woman who operates this hostel is WONDERFUL!! She invited us to dinner, she showed us around and she was really great at explaining how the city and the culture works. It felt like staying with family! The location is amazing and the room we stayed in was spacious and clean. We did get quite a few bug bites, but we don't know if that happened in our first hotel that we stayed at in Geylang or at Fernloft Chinatown.

It's more like a home than a dorm, even for a new-backpacker like me. Everything here is pleasant, and Aunt Annie is vary kind. Also the experience here remainds me the days in college.

There is nowhere to put our baggage once we check out. As we leaving Singapore at night, planning to walk around during the day somemore. If there is a baggage area to store our bag, that would be better.

Nice and small hostel, located very close to chinatown and with a few minutes walk to the MRT. The owner is also very nice and helps you out with anything.

The hostel was under upgrade/construction when we checked in so it wasn't really that welcoming but it was fine. It is a small hostel but it's not an issue. Serves toast and tea. The staff are friendly and understanding. Really close to restaurants and shopping centers. MRT is also few minutes away. Overall, our stay here went well! Might stay there or little India branch again if we visit Singapore again!
