Fortaleza Guest House is an old-fashioned style guest house for travelers looking for a nice, comfortable, clean place to stay in San Juan, Puerto Rico. We are located at 303 Fortaleza Street, which is the main street of Old San Juan. Here you will be surrounded by many famous, legendary, and beautiful places including El Murro (San Felipe Fort) and San Cristobal Fort.

On our street, you will find places like the famous Pirilos Pizza, where locals love to enjoy, and Barra China restaurant, where the Pina colada was created. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy Puerto Rican food and other international restaurants.

Additionally, you will find several fantastic souvenir and art stores, plus historic places like the colon square, the pigeon square, and at the end of our street, you can view one of the most beautiful and ancient fortifications of Old San Juan, the fort, now home of the governor of Puerto Rico.

Fortaleza Guest House has a few common areas including the kitchen and living room. There are two shared bathrooms on each of the two floors. We also have 3 beautiful balconies where you can sit and enjoy with your family or friends in the warm weather of Puerto Rico.

In Old San Juan, you will also enjoy the convenience of having both a Walgreens and Farmacia Caridad just a few minutes walk away from our guest house. There is also a Supermax grocery store for your cooking or snack needs.

cute little hostel with perfect location...everything is easily reachable and it has a cute rooftop! we really enjoyed our time there ans the owner is super nice aswell...can only recommend, especially for the location!

Of course they change the bedsheets after every guest if thats the only thing you care about. Other than the bed, everything else is dirty! Restroom, kitchen, laundry area, the room itself, even the locker, Yes, visibly dirty! charging wall port at one place for all 4 persons!

The location is great, but the hostel is very run down. There were bugs on the bed, and spider-web in the room. Cleanliness could be much much better. The rooms are right by the street, so loud noise is there past midnight.

Catch an ocean breeze in the Puerto Rican capital, San Juan. One of the oldest European settlements in Latin America, it's famous for colonial architecture as well as ancient forts and a magnificent cathedral. A vibrant culture that moves to the rhythms of salsa and local reggaeton is a huge draw for visitors. And as the city's set along the shores of the Atlantic, it's easy to get to the beach. Here you can unwind after a day exploring, before heading out to one of the many nightclubs.

San Juan hostels are a good mix of historic and modern buildings. You can stay in an old colonial-style casa or treat yourself to a luxury bunk in a boutique spot. To reach the city from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport, you can take the AMA bus to Old San Juan or Isla Verde. A taxi will have you in the centre in around 20 minutes. Getting around the city is simple on local buses and a free trolley drops off at Old San Juan's must-see spots. To venture further afield, take the Tren Urbano.
