Great little place to base ourselves from - only a few minutes walk from the Kyoto main station and a 25 minute walk (or a 10-15 min bus) to Gion. Room was warm and comfortable, with plenty of space. Staff, who are a family that live downstairs, were kind, spoke enough English (though we can speak Japanese so this didn't matter too much) and gave us some nice tips.
