About

We are located in Miyagawa Town, the “Hana-machi” in Kyoto, which is near from Gion. Our place is surrounded by local businesses and restaurants, as well as local attractions.

All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, comfy mattress and clothes hanger. Bathroom facilities and toilets are shared. Hairdryer, slippers and free toiletries including shampoo and body soap are provided for guests.
The single bed is equipped with a socket, reading light, and clothes hangers.
Miyagawacho Guest House HANAKANZASHI offers non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and shared kitchen with dining area. Guests can do a simple cook within specific time period.

5. Cancellation policy:
(1) 14 days (or more) before Arrival Date: free.
　 (2) 7 days before Arrival Date: 50 % of the total amount.
　 (3) 3 days before or No Show: 100 % of the total amount.
6. Children are welcome.
7. No smoking.
8. Pets are not allowed.
9. City tax ¥200 per person is not included in room rate.
10. No curfew, no shoes inside property.
11. No noise after 22:00 (cannot cook or use washing machine after 22:00)
12. No food or drinks inside the dorm.
13. No party, no drugs, no alcohol abuse.


All reservations must be guaranteed by a valid credit card.
Payment before arrival by Credit card is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions.
The property reserves the right to pre-authorize provided credit cards up to the full reservation amount at point of reservation.
Declined or invalid credit cards will result in cancellation of reservation without notice.

Super clean and friendly staff. Right by train line and not a far walk from anything you need. Tons of good food options within 15 minute walk. Beds are very roomy for a hostel. Noticeably the biggest mattress I've ever had in a hostel. No lockers for bags/luggage but there is a storage downstairs.

This place absolutely sucks! I came from top notch hostels with the same price in Kyoto, this one stinks, is super noisy, so dirty and has no power points in the room! I booked two nights and stayed for one instead. When I asked the guy if i can cancel he said he will speak to his manager. A few hours later i hear him say to someone that we are booked out when he could’ve swapped my room and given me a refund! Also the receptionist would smoke continuously and the smoke would travel to my bed!
