Located at a peaceful place while not easy to reach, especially in Hangzhou, where taxi is not easy to catch. As for cleanliness, I stay in the family room for my previous stay. It is clean and confortable. The staff in the daytime did not give us good recommendation to the scenic spots or resturants. The staffs in the night time are nicer.

It is an excellent hostel, the private rooms are really nice and cozy. Dorms are OK and actually really clean. I really enjoyed the time in Hangzhou. Xie xie

Hostel is clean and tidy in a nice quiet area. The staff are friendly and 2 of them, Pac and Fiona spoke English well. Being a bit out of town we found it difficult getting to and from the hostel but that was more because we didn't speak Chinese than anything else.

Fiona's trip's dorm rooms were very cozy with comfortable beds. The four men rooms were actually eight men rooms with a wall and you have to go outside to go to the bathroom in the cold (it sucked! coz it was raining). There was also no sit down toilets. Kitchen facilities were good except for the two dogs that were roaming around begging for food. Overall it's a nice place, would stay there again.
