The only thing that I did not like was that they only take cash for final payment.

Beautiful big rooms and great breakfast! I will definitely be returning to this hostel, which feels more like a hotel!

The hostel has a great atmosphere as it is full of the owner´s paintings and art works. Almost any object (plates, fridge, tiles, etc.) is decorated by his paintings which gives you the feeling of living in a museum. When we arrived at the hostel, it was overbooked but the landlady offered us to stay in her private apartment only few blocks away from the hostel. That was actually an upgrade as the apartment is situated right in front of "Ascensor Concepción" (sea view). Great customer service!

This was easily the best breakfast we've ever had in a hostel. Rooms are secure and facilities are very clean, the staff are very helpful. Only issue was that no staff members spoke English well, but were very helpful and patient with our broken Spanish. It also feels as though you are intruding a little bit into their house. Highly recommend this hostel.

After the initial scare with a double booking, the owners really pulled out the stops, they put us up in an aparment a few blocks away, a private room and ensuite wit a view to die for. All at the same price as the lesser room we booked. Location is excellent right in the windy streets, the staff very friendly and helpful. The main holding and apartment are filled with the owners paintings and sculptures which add to the ambiance of Valpo.

Beautiful hostel, art everywhere. Very clean & safe. However, very quiet, no social atmosphere, ho hum staff.

Great location of a nice looking & clean hostel, but we didn't feel that comfortable staying there. The owners seemed quite nice but we felt like we were disturbing them every time we asked something, the staff is very friendly and helpful though. The kitchen is big, but has only one (portable) hotplate and is not that well equipped (what didn't really matter since we were the only ones cooking there). They had a problem with one bathroom upstairs, so we had water coming down in our room.
