Very nice place to go, excelent breakfast, good atmosphere. Would come back again.

Our stay at Galeria 13 has been very good. The staff is so helpful! they will always tell you what is the cheapest tour or what is the best thing to do depending on your expectations. the breakfast is great as well! the weather wasn't that nice but I wish I could have use the swimming pool! the dorms were nice and the private bathroom was clean enough. It is small though. I recommend that hostel.

The breakfast is the best one that I ate in all the hostels I went! The dogs are very huge and very cute!

Very clean, very new, spacious room with a nice smell. Paulo and staff are very helpful, amazing breakfast and a nice little pool to keep you cool after your day visiting the Pelourinho. Will come back !

Galeria 13 definitely deserves its excellent rating. I actually wanted to couchsurf part of my stay in Salvador but I loved the hostel and the people so much that I ended up staying there for a week. Information, staff, location and facilities are amazing! Galeria 13 is also a beautiful place to meet fellow travelers. The hostel is very social and the only minus is that you almost HAVE to be social, because it is rather small and there are always people around. It's very small minus tough =P

Sociable place to meet up with like-minded travellers! The hostel was recommended to me by multiple people, and I would definately recommend it to anyone who's going to Salvador. The hostel is cosy, the staff is super friendly and the lovely lady that makes breakfast every day is the star of the house with her smile every morning. Don't doubt, just book.

One of the best hostels I have been to. It has great common areas and is a good place to meet other travellers. There is an amazing breakfast which ends at noon and there is also a free caprinha hour. Staff and owner are friendly. The only thing is the directions on this website are not very accurate and I would recommend looking at a map before setting out!

This hostel had about the best location and social vibes of any hostel I have ever stayed at and I have stayed at many all over the world.

Hostel Galeria 13 is my favourite hostel in Brazil. It's a great place to meet people because the owner makes the atmosphere so friendly. I travelled alone and met so many great people. The hostel is also great value for money, free wifi, huge free breakfast served to 12 (so you can still have a lie in after a night of partying), free caipirinhas between 5-6 every day! They also list daily activities and places to visit so you're never bored or need a guide book to explore the city. Stay here!
