Pretty good place but with some drawbacks. The main drawback for me is that there is no kitchen. It's also very central which means it's noisy at night so difficult to sleep early. Breakfast is great though and the staff are good. Depends on your priorities.

Great place to stay. The staff was very nice and helpful. Very convenient location - just be careful when going out at night (as in any other place). The rooms are small but common areas and the pool make a huge difference when compared to other hostels. I highly recommend it.

We really liked this hostel. Great location in the middle of PELO (don\'t stay in Barra stay in Pelo). Very good breakfasts. Caiprinha happy hour was excellent and it really allowed you to meet the other guests. Only downside is that the kitchen is off-limits to guests.

My 2-night stay at Hostel Galeria 13 was so good that I decided to come back for 3 nights after I had visited Morro do Sao Paulo. When I got back there, I was really feeling I was home again ! The staff is very nice, always available to give advice, suggesting events everyday for those who are interested in it. What's more, you can meet there so many cool people from all around the world and enjoy free caipirinhas at 5 PM ! Nicolas

A very nice hostel with good atmosphere in the heart of the historic center of Salvador. The rooms+bathrooms are a bit small, but not really important since the hostel includes a nice common area (indoor chill room and outdoor). Would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Great place. I recommend to everybody. Next time I stay in Salvador I will stay there again. Clean place, perfectly located in Pelourinho and the breakfast is amazing. Another good thing there is they have air conditioning and safebox.

Galeria 13 was one of the nicest hostels I've been to. The staff is very helpful and the atmosphere is very friendly. The happy hour of free caiparinhas is also great! In terms of cleanliness, in a dorm full of 10 people, its better to have the toilet scrubbed daily but other than that the whole place was generally pretty clean.

Helpful, friendly staff. However I can't understand why they keep two big dogs and require the guests to keep closing the gates between where breakfast is served and where the tables are! It is not hygienic having to touch the gates locks all the time while having our breakfast.

I absolutely loved this hostel! A very unique and cozy spot in the center of all the pelourinho action. In addition to a very helpful staff this hostel also serves one of the best breakfasts I've had in all my travels(plus, it's served till midday which is awesome after those late nights out). The owner would always ask "would you like some eggs with that?" .. yes please! The rooms are very basic, but they serve their purpose. Excellent value for the money. I highly recommend this spot!
